The Mill Duty Xtra Deepfield Aluminum Electromagnet (MXDA) is built to tackle highly abrasive materials, scrap, or mill products that shred other magnets. To withstand the added abuse, the MXDA is manufactured with a heavier structural design, while the aluminum coils make the magnet's weight significantly lighter than its copper-wound cousin, the MXDC. The MXDA has a deeper penetrating flux field that is recommended for lighter gauge materials; this magnet is also versatile enough to be used to move billets and slabs. MXDC magnets can be used singly or in a series of two or more on a spreader beam to accomplish a wide range of tasks. Each magnet is built to fit your applications.
